Dutch police arrested man (21) today on suspicion of fire-bombing an Islamic school in November.
The public prosecution service said the man from the southern Dutch town of Eindhoven was being held for involvement in a firebomb attack on the Tareq Ibnoe Ziyad primary school there during the night of November 7th to November 8th.
An 18-year-old suspect who had been detained since December has now been released. Nobody was hurt in the November blast, which damaged the entrance and shattered windows.
At least 15 mosques and Muslim schools were attacked after filmmaker Theo van Gogh, whose comments on Islam enraged many Muslims, was shot and stabbed as he cycled to work in Amsterdam on November 2nd.
Several Christian buildings were also attacked. A 26-year-old Dutch-Moroccan man has been charged with Mr Van Gogh's murder and his court case is set to formally start on January 26th.
