Racing:  Dylan Thomas has arrived in Hong Kong ahead of his planned swansong in the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong Vase at Sha Tin.

Aidan O'Brien's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe hero jetted in after a vaccination mix-up saw the four-year-old denied a run in the Japan Cup by the local authorities.

The six-time Group One winner was left floundering in the mud at the Breeders' Cup meeting and is due to retire to the breeding sheds following his run in the mile-and-a-half Vase.

"The trip from the quarantine stable in Japan to Sha Tin took about 11 hours," said Pat Keating, O'Brien's travelling head lad.

"He's a seasoned traveller and he looks to have settled in very quickly,"

Dylan Thomas was crowned Cartier Horse of the Year earlier this month and his Australian counterpart, Miss Andretti, has also landed in Hong Kong ahead of her run.

The six-year-old, who won the King's Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot, tackles the Hong Kong Sprint and she is currently well clear at the top of the Global Sprint Challenge series rankings.
