This is a beautifully illustrated volume about the area

This is a beautifully illustrated volume about the area. The book originated in a conference held at UCC in 1995 and dedicated to the scholarship of the late M. J. O'Kelly, Professor of Archaeology at UCC from 1946 to 1982. It includes contributions from 20 scholars on various aspects of early medieval Munster, illustrated with numerous charts, maps and drawings. One map (on page 24), showing the distribution of ogham stones in Ireland, omits the stone discovered on the Great Saltee Island and now in the County Museum, Enniscorthy.
