RTE has signed an agreement with the BBC to show EastEnders, following TV3's decision not to renew its contract for the British soap. EastEnders will be transmitted on RTE 1 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting on March 22nd.
Earlier this year RTE lost the contract for Coronation Street to TV3.
