Online travel agency Ebookers has announced plans to develop a second multilingual centre for European customers in Dublin.
The company said: "Ireland offers both a lower cost base, supported by development grants from the Irish Government, as well as full multilingual capabilities".
Ebookers reported a 46 per cent rise in sales in the second quarter to £71 million sterling, maintaining its number one position in the sector in Europe.
Its interim pre-tax loss was £7.05 million, down from £17.18 million in the same period last year.
The increased sales allowed the group to cut its pre-tax loss during the period to £3.5 million, from £8.6 million last year.
The company believes moving its administration to India has helped it cut its half-year losses.
Chief financial officer Mr Nigel Addison Smith said: "Not only are we building a low-cost back office centre in India, we are also developing Dublin as a second multi-lingual centre to service our customers throughout Europe.
"These assets give us excellent low cost scalability and allow us to easily strip costs out of future acquisitions".
Ebookers employs about 950 staff, 70 of which are employed in Ireland.
