Three people have been arrested and €250,000 worth of drugs seized in a Garda operation in Co Laois this morning.
In total 20,000 ecstasy tablets were found. The three men are being held in Portlaoise Garda Station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
On Friday cannabis resin estimated to be worth €1,000,000 was discovered in the town following a surveillance operation in which a car containing the drugs was stopped.
Two 23-year-old men and a 26-year-old man were arrested.
