Pilgrimage paves way for saints' anniversary
THIS year marks the 1,400th anniversary of Saint Columba's death and Saint Augustine's arrival in Canterbury.
An ecumenical pilgrimage will leave Rome on May 18th, travelling to Canterbury via Assissi, Florence, Milan, Taize and Boulogne.
After a commissioning service in Canterbury Cathedral, the pilgrims will leave on May 26th to travel by four routes to Derry, arriving on June 9th.
