Entry forms are now available for the 2001 RDS Art Student Award Scheme, which has a prize fund of £8,000. Prizes to be won include the Taylor art prize of £6,000, open to full-time students under the age of 25, and the printmaking prize, worth £2,000, which is open to all age groups attending recognised Irish colleges and departments of art offering full-time courses.

On the go since l878, the RDS scheme recognises excellence in new and emerging Irish artists and provides financial support to further develop their artistic talent. Past winners include Melanie and Louis Le Brocquy and Norah McGuinness. Closing date for entries is Tuesday, July 10th.
