MANY guidance counsellors will be champing at the bit waiting to try out the newly re-vamped CAO On-line Application System (Entry 2000). This will be available from mid-November. The method allows current Leaving Cert students to submit their applications securely over the Internet, using only their pupil ID number to access the system as there is no need for registration. Students can avail of the facility in the school, at home or even in a cyber cafe.

The system, which has been developed in partnership with Intel Ireland, is now part of the ScoilNet network for Irish schools and is located at www.scoilnet.ie/cao or directly at www.cao.ie
