Art for children at the National Gallery

The National Gallery has again put together a lively list of activities for schoolgoers

The National Gallery has again put together a lively list of activities for schoolgoers. The programme for 2000/2001 includes art lectures, portfolio days, school tours, transition year tours and worksheets. Organised by the Department of Education the programme is designed to "provide an exciting way of learning for students who wish to acquire basic knowledge of aspects of art history and drawing". The art lectures cover subjects as diverse as the early Renaissance and Georgian architecture in Ireland; school tours look at all aspects of the gallery's collection.
