Boston College opens Irish centre

The Boston College has opened a centre for Irish programmes in Dublin

The Boston College has opened a centre for Irish programmes in Dublin. The centre is based in a restored Georgian building on St Stephen's Green and it will house the Burns Library, which owns the largest collection of Irish papers and manuscripts outside Ireland. The centre will serve as a resource to Boston College faculty staff and students and as a support for its international and Irish studies programmes. "The Boston College Centre for Irish Programmes will provide invaluable resources for the university in its outreach to political, business and educational leaders in both the Republic and Northern Ireland," says the college's executive vice-president, Dr Frank Campanella.
