This is the 28th year of courses at the Burren Painting Centre in Lisdoonvarna, Co Clare. The courses kick off in May with a three day-course (May 4th-7th) on painting the Burren landscape in oils and acrylics with tutor Bob Lynn. On May 18th there is a two-day watercolour course with the emphasis on Burren flowers and on June 2nd James Flack will begin a six-day course on Burren landscapes in watercolour. The courses continue right up to October and cover the whole spectrum of mediums from watercolours and oils to pen and ink, acrylics and pastels.

If you're planning ahead for an activity holiday next year, the Burren Painting Centre is running a week long trip to the Florida Keys with tutor Margaret Evans. This trip, to see and paint the semi-tropical scenery of the region, takes place from Friday, January 18th, to Sunday, January 27th, 2002.
