Slari (the school library association) will hold its 6th annual conference on the November 24th and 25th in the Church of Ireland College of Education in Rathmines, Dublin. The theme of the conference is The Library Web - Spinning the threads of change.

The keynote speakers are Ray Lonsdale and Liz Weir and there will be workshops on how to computerise a school library, promoting literacy in schools and the place of film within school libraries. There will also be an exhibition of books and library-related materials.

Places can be booked with Sheila Beirne at Rathdown School, Upper Glenageary Road, Dun Laoghaire (01) 285 3133, and bookings should be made before the November 17th. The cost for members of SLARI is £32 per person and £45 for non-members. Membership and conference fee costs £77.
