Achill Archaeological Summer Field School kicks off its eight-week summer programme on June 28th. This is a hands-on course for those interested in learning the skills of survey, excavation, planning and draughtsmanship backed up by lectures, seminars and field trips. The field trips will visit places such as the deserted village of Slievemore, the Corraun Peninsula and Shell Middens and Achill Beg island.
