Visitors from many parts of Ireland attended a recent service to mark the installation of Dr Lindsay Haslett as "warden" (i.e. principal) of St Columba's College in Whitechurch, Dublin.
Among the schools represented at the event were Whitechurch National School, Rathdown School, Alexandra College and Zion National School. Olivia Mitchell TD also attended the service, where the preacher was the Bishop of Meath and Kildare, the Most Rev Richard Clarke.
St Columba's is one of the State's most expensive fee-paying secondary schools. The college says it hopes shortly to announce details of scholarships for pupils from local primary schools.
