Being a small fish in a big pond is a feeling faced by many a fresher, and quite a few other students as well, but any UCC student who feels all at sea will now have an invaluable aid.
The university's downtown centre, which acts as an information centre for UCC, has produced a campus diary which they believe is unique in the amount of useful information (not to mention the odd voucher) it contains. As well as a regular diary and phone book, the 200-page campus diary has a freshers' section with registration and commencement dates, colour maps and a campus directory with a full A-to-Z listing of offices, departments, centres and faculties.
It also has a glossary of commonly used acronyms and abbreviations so you can talk like a native UCCer from day one.
The diary will be for sale in the downtown centre as well as in various locations on and off campus priced, £4.99.
