If you want to relax in a gentle rural setting and learn at the same time, the creative centre at Busherstown, Moneygall, Co Offaly, might be the answer. Willow working, gardening, silk painting and flower painting are all on offer during June and July. The willow workshop takes place on June 10th and 11th (cost £95) and it will cover traditional basket craft and other applications such as making garden structures from willow. New ideas for spectacular 21st century gardens are promised by Angela Jupe on June 17th (cost £40). There will be a field trip to Angela's garden nearby and an opportunity to buy plants.
