Where did you go to school? Convent of Mercy Primary School, Birr, Co Offaly and St Brendan's Community School, Birr.

What was your best subject? History, Geography and English

Margaret Hogan and Brid O'Connell. They both brought the subject to life and encouraged debate and discussion on the topics and really challenged you to think.

Who was your childhood idol? I never really had one.

Who was your best friend and why? Imelda and Angela, and then a group of us who were in Venture Scouts together. We liked doing the same type of things and had a great time together. We are all still friends.

What are they doing now? Imelda is in Galway and Angela is in London. The rest are divided between Birr and Dublin.

What TV show or film most reminds you of your school days? Footloose, Dirty Dancing and Dead Poets Society.

What song most reminds you of your school days? Brewing Up a Storm by the Stunning and Summer of '69 by Bryan Adams as well as U2's One, which we played at our graduation Mass.

What food most reminds you of your school days? Twix bars, Frosties (the sweets) and Stinger bars which I didn't actually like but they were everywhere.

Would you send your children to the same school you went to? Yes, without hesitation.

What was the best thing about your education? It was broad and diverse and we got to do so many things - sports, school shows and debating - as well as a regular curriculum.

What was the worst thing about your education?

I had no bad experience really, so I'd have to say the A-line skirts.
