What's the boldest thing you ever did in school? Can't choose just one so ... tap dancing on the tables/stealing classmates' lunch/eating other people's home economics creations/bunking off school to go to Gay Byrne's book signing/asking deliberately provocative questions in religion class.

Who was your favourite teacher and why? In primary school Miss Price because she used to perform the best version of A Frog Went A Courtin. In secondary school Miss O'Dwyer because her passionate style of teaching history grabbed my full attention and respect.

Who was the object of your first crush? Gay Byrne. Also would have quite liked to marry George Michael.

What was your earliest career ambition? Circus performer

Were you cool or nerdy at school? Neither. Just very, very annoying.

Did you go to college? Maynooth for a year before dropping out to become rich and famous in England. Ended up working as a waitress in Garfunkels, Golders Green.

What song most reminds you of your school days? Young Guns (Go for it) by Wham!

What would you look for when choosing a school for your own children? Somewhere that encourages individuality and facilitates creative expression for all students not just the arty ones.

Were your school days the best days of your life? Sadly, no. But the view is an awful lot better from here.
