THE 1995/96 edition of Elements, a magazine for Irish schools produced by the science, engineering and informatics colleges at UL, is now available. Its aim is to make students at school more aware of what is involved in studying and working in science, maths and computing, engineering and technology. Topics range from magnets to sports accidents to wind power.
The magazine was launched simultaneously in a printed version and on the Internet on the UL home pages (http://www.ul.ie or http://www.ul.ie/childsp/Elements). As well as copies being sent directly to schools, free of charge, Elements is also available at a cost of £2.00 a copy, including postage, by writing to Declan O'Brien, College of Engineering, University of Limerick, Limerick.
