If you'd like to study at third level but feel daunted by the prospect of jumping in at the deep end, the University Foundation course run by the Dublin-based adult education specialists, Pearse College, may be just what you need to bridge the gap. The objective of the course is to prepare mature students for third level and you can opt for either a humanities or a science-based foundation programme depending on your needs. No particular qualifications are required to enrol for the course. The college is willing to accept students if they show interest and commitment and potential students will be asked to come for an interview.

Those interested in the humanities strand should contact Re Marnell (01) 453 6661 while those interested in the science strand should contact Billy Sweeney at the same number. For more details about the courses consult the College's website at www.pearsecollege.cdvec.ie
