For four budding artists, this is going to be a memorable Christmas. The four have been chosen in a competition to design Christmas cards to be sold this festive season to raise money for Temple Street Children's Hospital in Dublin.
The four winners are Paul Bonar (10), Waterside, Lackenagh, Burtonport, Co Donegal, whose design is printed here; Niamh Carey (8) 55 Pine Grove, Ennis, Co Clare; Aine O'Neill (10), Garoon, Mountmellick, Co Laois and Connor Shorten (9), Adelaide Lodge, Clanmorris Avenue, North Circular Road, Limerick.
The cards are being printed free of charge by the Print Shop, 69 Mespil Road, Dublin 4, and will be on sale in branches of Boots from next week.
The competition was organised through Education and Living and Edelman Public Relations Worldwide. The contest's objective was to find a different kind of charity card for Temple Street - indeed, the theme of the competition was "No Ordinary Christmas".
