Legislative response to the educational needs of students with disabilities is the subject of a public lecture and one-day conference on December 14th and 15th. There will be talks by Kathleen S Mehfoud and Claiborne R Winborne, both from Virginia in the US, where Mehfoud is an education attorney with 22 years experience and educator Winborne a mediator certified by the Virginia supreme court. The lecture will begin at 7.30 p.m. in the engineering school, UCD.

The conference, on the following day, will be in the food science theatre and begin at 9.30 a.m. It will deal with improving special education services through legislation and dispute legislation.
