Ecuador

The 4-week trip will be in July 2000 and will include return flights, a trekking excursion to Mt Chimborazo, and 28 hours of private Spanish language classes. There will be home-stays with local families in Quito and Riobamba.

Japan

A six-week trip in July and August including return flights and £100 spending money. The winner will visit local schools to introduce Ireland and will be based in the region of Suwa in the Japanese Alps. There will be a visit to Tokyo and Japanese language classes provided.

Mexico 1

A four-week trip in the summer travelling to Mexico City, Oaxaca and Puebla. All meals and activities paid for and home-stays with local families in Puebla and Oaxaca.

Mexico 2

A 4-week trip in July joining a group of 12 young people from all over the world. The group will be involved in an ecology project and will spend 17 days on a home-stay with families in Guadalupe.

India

The trip runs from August 15th to September 18th, joining a group of 15 other young people. The group will visit the Taj Mahal and Jaipur, and spend some time on a home-stay with families in Uttar Pradesh.

Turkey

Spend the month of July with 15 young people helping repair some of the damage caused by Turkey's earthquake. There will also be time to relax on a trip to Fethiye on the Turkish Mediterranean.
