Lucan school wins chemistry prize

Chemistry students from St Joseph's College, Lucan, had a busy summer

Chemistry students from St Joseph's College, Lucan, had a busy summer. A team of first years, all members of the school's chemistry club, travelled to York, in England, in July and competed successfully in the international stage of the Salters Festival of Chemistry in the University of York.

The only Irish team among 22 that took part, they came second in the Chemical Egg Race and won £250 for the school's chemistry department. Judges described St Joseph's entry as a "very informative and interactive presentation and demonstration".
