Dyspraxia will be discussed at a meeting which will take place this Saturday in the Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin, between 9am and 5.15pm. It has been organised by the Dyspraxia Association. This disability is "a difficulty with thinking out, planning and carrying out sensory/motor tasks. The child with dyspraxia may have a combination of several problems in varying degrees, including poor balance, poor fine and gross motor co-ordination, difficulty with reading, writing and speech and emotional and behavioural problems."

Sorcha Regan, the association's membership secretary and a primary teacher, says that "teachers find it difficult, if not impossible at times" to deal with the problems associated with dyspraxia. Contact Regan at (01) 494 6117 or Aileen Tierney at (01) 295 7125.
