My Web

I have been using e-mail and the web for the best part of the last nine years. I regularly send mailshots (press releases, advance notices and speeches) to journalists and other interested people. As part of my job, I use the web everyday to look at newspapers published here, in the US, Australia, New Zealand and Britain.

I also use it to get information from agencies such as the EU, UNESCO and the OECD. For the past three years, the HEA has had its own website, developed by Maura O'Shea. We're very much a publishing house and all publications since 1999 are available on the website. They never go out of print.

At home, I use the net to plan holidays although I still have to get up the courage to buy over the internet. I'm big into the GAA and consult its website (www.gaa.ie) and my own club's website (www.ballybodenstendas.ie) regularly.
