A local education authority in England has been called in to mediate in a nursery school argument about sweets and biscuits. Norfolk county council has been asked to intervene in a dispute between Sylvia Trafford, head of Catton Grove nursery school, and Bernadette Purvis, whose son Christopher attends the school.
Six year-old Christopher was taken out of school by his mother after Trafford insisted that pupils are only allowed to eat fruit or vegetables for their break-time snacks. Purvis says her son should be allowed to eat a wider range of snack foods.
