Webwise.ie, in collaboration with Scoilnet, is running an online debate entitled Is the Internet Bad for Music to help raise awareness of online copyright issues. The highlights of this debate will be shared with students from all over the world through a worldwide "blogathon". Students' opinions will go alongside those of high-profile bloggers including members of the EU Commission and recording artists such as Mundy.

Webwise.ie, which is also being launched today, provides information, advice and tools to teachers, parents and students to help ensure children's online experiences are positive and safe.

Lesson plans for the blogathon and internet safety activities for younger pupils are available through www.scoilnet.ie and www.webwise.ie. If you are interested in getting your class involved e-mail: internetsafety@ncte.ie
