Sallynoggin College of Further Education Open Day: Sallynoggin College of Further Education. Pearse Street, Dún Laoghaire is hosting an open day tomorrow from 10am to 2pm. All are welcome to attend for information on courses, grants, funding and childcare facilities.

There will be an opportunity to meet staff and students and to view exhibitions of student work, as well as the college's facilities. Course information talks will take place throughout the day.

DIT's postgraduate open evening takes place tomorrow in DIT Aungier Street, Dublin 2 from 4pm to 8.00pm. The open evening is an opportunity to find out more about the range of full- and part-time taught and research postgraduate programmes on offer across DIT's six faculties. Annual Sixth Form History Seminar

The History Teachers' Association of Ireland presents the annual Sixth Form History Seminar in the Edmund Burke Theatre, Trinity College Dublin, next Saturday morning.

The seminar is directed at all sixth-year students taking history in their Leaving Certificate examination in June 2006. There will be lectures by teachers on the following topics: The Pursuit of Sovereignty 1912-1949; Dictatorship and Democracy 1920-1945 and The Marking Principles for Leaving Certificate History.

Registration takes place at 9.30am and admission is €10 payable at the door.

Association for Higher Education Access and Disability (Ahead) mentoring programme

Ahead, in association with several companies and organisations including IBM, Bank of Ireland, Fás, Civil Service Commission and DCU, has set up a mentoring placement programme for graduates and students with disabilities.

To launch the project, which is called WAM - Willing Able and Mentoring, Ahead is holding its first graduate fair on Tuesday, February 28th from 11am to 4pm in the Mansion House in Dublin.

Students and graduates with disabilities can talk to the employers, take part in the workshops and discuss placement possibilities.

European Piano Teachers' Association (EPTA), Ireland Workshop
