DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama open evening: DIT's Conservatory of Music and Drama will host an open evening tomorrow, January 21st, from 7p.m. to 8 p.m. in DIT, Rathmines Road, Dublin.
The evening will provide an opportunity for students submitting CAO applications to hear in detail what is involved in the degree programmes offered in the conservatory, in both music and drama, and for prospective part-time students to find out more about the kind of music performance tuition available through the conservatory.
Anyone with an interest in the performing arts is most welcome. For your added pleasure, current students of music will be performing on the night.

There will be a masterclass with Mabel Swainson at 10 a.m. followed by a talk - "Improve your Sightreading" - by Paul Harris at 2.30 p.m.

Enabling Retention and Progression of Students with Disabilities in Education
A half-day conference to facilitate those working in the second - and third-level education sectors to address the needs of students with disablities in education. This conference forms part of the work of a HEA funded project, established through a partnership between Trinity College and the IT Tallaght in 2002 to examine the issues of the retention of students with disabilities in third level.

12.30 p.m. Cost: 30.
The conference aims to explore solutions for retaining students with disabilities within the education system.
Going to College 2004
The date for receipt of completed CAO applications (February 1st) is fast approaching.
The publication Going to College 2004 provides a guide to the CAO process, alongside grant information and advice on other opportunities. It is available free of charge in the Dún Laoghaire Youth Information Centre.
Current college prospectuses and CAO forms are also available and mature students seeking support returning to education are also welcome to contact us.
Staff in the centre are happy to assist in filling out application forms. No appointment is necessary.
