GMIT Health and Wellbeing FairGalway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT) is holding its annual Health and Wellbeing Fair today from 10am to 4pm at the Dublin Road campus.
Visitors will be able to have their fitness levels checked, sample alternative therapies and treatments and receive information and advice from health-related organisations.
Participants include the Marie Keating Foundation, HSE West, HSE Addiction Counselling Services, Enable Ireland, the Asthma Society, Threshold, the Irish Cancer Society and Aids West.
UL Spring Careers Fair
The University of Limerick is holding a spring careers fair tomorrow in EGO 10 in the main campus building from noon to 3pm. Exhibitors are drawn from a wide range of employment sectors including non-profit organisations, local, regional and community development organisations, international development organisations, social services, youth work, the voluntary sector and the arts. Corfhéile na Scoileanna 2007
Córfhéile na Scoileanna Ath Cliath is a non-competitive music festival for schoolchildren attracting entries from schools in Dublin and the surrounding counties. This festival continues today in the National Basketball Arena, Tallaght, starting at 7.45 pm.
There will also be four matinee performances during the week - today, tomorrow, Thursday and Friday from 10.30am to noon.
One of the principal aims of Córfhéile is to foster and develop a love of music in children, particularly Irish music. Córfhéile also gives parents an opportunity to see their children perform on a public platform.

Hurling - A Vision for the Future
To celebrate the holding of the Fitzgibbon Cup in the Institute of Technology, Carlow, a seminar entitled "Hurling - A vision for the future" will be held in the college on Thursday, March 8th.
GAA commentator Micheál Ó Muircheartaigh will chair proceedings and panel members include GAA president Nicky Brennan, DJ Carey, Liam O'Neill, current chair of the Leinster Council, and Eoin Garvey, manager of the Carlow senior hurling team.

Revision Seminars for Leaving Certificate Applied
Two revision seminars for Leaving Certificate applied mathematics students will be held in Cork on Saturday, April 21st and Saturday, April 28th.

Lecture on Secondary Education in Meath Noel French is giving a talk entitled "Secondary Education in Meath 1600-1986" on Sunday, March 11th at 3pm in St Mary's Church of Ireland, Navan. The event is being organised by the Meath Archaeological and Historical Society and the Meath Shamrock Festival. It is the Oliver Coogan Commerative Lecture. (Oliver Coogan was a much loved and respected teacher at Dunshaughlin Community College, who died unexpectedly in 2005.). The talk will deal with the developemnt of second-level education and the impact of free education. Noel French is a mature student at NUI Maynooth. All welcome.
