Mature Students Open Evening at Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT)

IADT, one of the 14 institutes of technology in Ireland, invites adult learners to its mature students open evening which takes place on Thursday, April 26th from 6pm to 8pm.

Programmes offered include: certificate in general studies (foundation certificate) and BA (honours) in visual arts practice (flexible study mode).

UL's Introduction to University Programme

The University of Limerick is offering students a summer Introduction to University Programme (IUP) designed to help them decide between the broad range of career and third-level course options while gaining experience of university life.

Conference on Early Childhood

The Irish branch of OMEP (the world organisation for early childhood education) is holding its annual conference, on the theme "Aspects of Childhood", on Friday, April 27th and Saturday, April 28th in University College Cork.

The opening session, on Friday at 7pm, will feature a keynote address by Prof Kathy Hall, the newly appointed professor of education in UCC. Prof Hall has a particular interest in early childhood education.

University of Limerick Science Camp

The University of Limerick Science Camp (ULSC) is a one-week summer programme to be held at the UL campus from Monday, June 25th to Friday, June 29th with the aim of allowing post-primary students (Junior Certificate, transition and fifth year) to explore science as a career option.

The programme is highly interactive and students will have sessions in areas such as sport sciences, genetics, forensics, chemistry, health sciences, the life sciences, physics and environmental sciences.

The programme costs €365 for a residential student and €225 for a non-residential student.
