The guest speaker is Sharon Markless whose main research interests are teaching information literacy; the impact of library and information services on teaching and learning; and developing professional practice through action research.

attend a series of free breakfast lectures designed to give a taste of an MBA. Every month a key faculty member from UCD Smurfit School will give a talk on his or her specialist area.
The third breakfast event of the series will take place at the Institute of Bankers in the IFSC on Wednesday, April 8th from 7.30am to 9am and is entitled “Marketing after the Recession”.

Talk on Asperger’s Syndrome and Auditory Processing
How Auditory Processing Impacts on Asperger’s Syndrome” is the title of a talk and presentation on Saturday, April 18th at 10am at the Cluas centre in Tallaght, Co Dublin. Auditory processing difficulties can have a significant impact on young people with Asperger’s Syndrome. Reducing these difficulties can lead to improvements in young people’s social interactions, their understanding and also their learning at school. UN Asylum and Immigration Schools Pack
Students in Irish classrooms are more international than ever. How do young people feel about their new classmates? Do they understand the reasons why they have left their home countries and come to Ireland? “Not Just Numbers” is a special toolkit for teachers and students on asylum and immigration in the EU. It is available to schools in both English and Irish.
The schools pack is produced jointly by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and aims to introduce debate and discussion on issues of integration to the classroom.It consists of a DVD and manual, showing individual stories of young people who have had to leave their own countries for one reason or another and make a new life in Europe.
