Educational Leadership Trinity Volunteers Forum
On Thursday, May 1st, the Trinity Volunteers
Opportunities Forum is hosting the symposium Practical Planning for
Student Volunteering in the 21st Century. This will bring together
a national coalition of those involved in third-level volunteering.

Public lecture at TCD
Prof Donal Carbaugh (MIT), visiting US Fulbright
Scholar to Finland, will give an open lecture entitled Cultures in
Conversation at Trinity College Dublin at 6.30pm on Thursday, May
1st, in the Mháirtín Uí Chadhain Theatre (Room
2041B) Arts Building. All are welcome.
DIT student robot challenge
Robosumo takes place at 2pm on Friday, May 2nd, in
room 007 at DIT Kevin St. This annual challenge for students in the
School of Electrical Engineering at DIT involves students
designing, building and programming a robot to compete in a
three-hour tournament. The event is open to the public. Enquiries

Diploma for Teachers
A new postgraduate diploma in educational leadership
is to commence next September. The Tóraíocht programme is
offered by the Leadership Development for Schools Team in
partnership with the Education Department at NUI Maynooth. It will
be available at four venues - NUI Maynooth, Galway,
Carrick-on-Shannon and Cork Education Centres.
The programme offers teachers an opportunity to explore and develop their leadership capacity, and to prepare for future leadership roles in Irish education.

Educational Management Seminar at TCD
Trinity Educational Management Graduates'
Association (Temga) is holding its second annual education seminar
on Friday, May 9th, from 2pm to 6pm in the Arts Block, Trinity
College Dublin.
