Parenting Awareness Week - events in the Dublin area organised by Parentline, the organisation for parents under stress - runs until Friday, October 11th.
Tuesday (today): Drop-in Day at health centres. Parentline Volunteers in attendance and literature available to raise awareness of the support for parents.
Wednesday: Seminar Day - six seminars on a range of parenting topics at the Royal Dublin Hotel, O'Connell Street, Dublin, 10.30 a.m. to 9.30 p.m.
Thursday: Focus on Grandparents Day - parenting for the second time and need support? Drop into the Parentline office at the Carmichael Centre, North Brunswick Street, Dublin, or the Royal Dublin Hotel for coffee at 11 a.m.
Friday: Family Communication Day - Parentline and schools encourage family communication.
Saturday: Dance Night - Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel, Killiney, Co Dublin, 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Music by Telephone Bill and the Smooth Operators.
