Keep a sharp look-out for some artistic post over the next two weeks when up to 5,500 free copies of a new teacher's pack wing their way to your school.

Exploring Art at the National Gallery, a handbook for teachers and young people, is part of a new pack for primary and post-primary teachers, also including a set of 12 slides and 20 theme worksheets. The pack, sponsored by Bord Gais, will be officially launched in the National Gallery next Tuesday. The handbook, written by Marie Bourke, provides step-by-step instructions on how to plan and structure a visit to the gallery. It contains practical projects for follow-up activities in the classroom.
