The sixth-class pupils at St Louise's Senior National School in Ballyfermot, Dublin, are winners of the senior section of the Energy Awareness Week art competition, organised earlier this year by Education & Living and the Irish Energy Centre. The class and their art teacher, Liz Fleming, have won a library of books for the school supplied by John Tracey of Irish Educational Services, who is seen here presenting some of the books to Liz Fleming. Winner of the junior section is six-year-old Sorcha Lynch, of Killygarry National School, Dublin Road, Cavan. The competition attracted over 1,400 entries. Photograph: Peter Thursfield
