THINKING AHEAD to a productive summer? An Grianan, the adult education college in Co Louth, has vacancies on a number of courses running in July.

The cost of the five-day programmes, including accommodation and full board at the college, is £135. Course materials cost extra, and this varies depending on the discipline involved.

Starting on July 1st aspiring students can choose from gardening, photography or yoga. On July 8th, florist crafts, soft furnishings, pre school playgroups and aromatherapy are offered and on July 15th the subjects to be covered include historic Irish houses, and Carrickmacross lace.
