The director of the Sligo Institute of Technology, Dr Breandan Mac Conamhna, presided over his last conferring ceremony last week as over 1,300 graduates receive their awards. MacConamhna oversaw the development of the institute from its early beginnings as a regional technical college in the 1970s.
