Sweet prize for primary quiz

There's still time to enter this year's NPC Challenge, an All-Ireland quiz competition for primary schools

There's still time to enter this year's NPC Challenge, an All-Ireland quiz competition for primary schools. Last year's challenge attracted some 12,000 pupils, according to organisers from the National Parents Council (Primary).

Regional heats will eventually see two teams from each county go forward to the final in Dublin in May, with a chance to win a trip to Cadbury World in Bourneville, England.

Information on the quiz has gone out to 3,000 primary schools; deadline for entries is March 1st.

Margaret O'Donoghue, national co-ordinator, of the NPC (Primary), said the challenge strikes " the right balance of educational and fun for all involved".
