THE Burren Painting Centre is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a programme of landscape paining courses under the direction of well-known Irish and overseas artists. Most of the courses are conducted in the open air so that participants can feel the effects of the Burren as well as paint them. The courses are offered in sketching, pen and ink, watercolours, oils, acrylics and pastels. This year for the first time, a course in silk painting is on offer.

The courses get underway with the silk painting course from April 24th to 26th followed in early May by landscapes and Burren flora in oils and acrylics led by Lesley Fennell. The courses then run continually until October and some include off-site excursions to the Aran Islands.
