An education pack for 14- to 18-year-olds produced by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees was launched last week by Noel Treacy, Minister of State for Science and Technology. The pack includes a 54-page teachers' guide and a video entitled To Feel at Home which follows seven young refugees as they start new lives in three European countries.
The guide suggests classroom activities and practical exercises and provides background information. The pack is available free of charge from UNHCR, 79-83 Lower Mount Street, Dublin 2. For details, phone (01) 602 8181.
