The Association for the Welfare of Children in Hospital (Ireland) is recruiting for its volunteer training course which starts in mid-September. AWCH is looking for mature, cheerful and reliable people who have one morning, afternoon or evening free each week. The association, established almost 30 years ago, runs volunteer playgroups in hospitals throughout the country and provides a valuable service for sick children who often find the experience of being in hospital and away from home a traumatic one.
