The Irish Energy Centre's schools programme, part of Energy Awareness Week 2000 (which ends on Saturday), involves pupils in primary schools across the land. Friday is Energy Watch Day, for which all primary schools should have special packs. These include a "make-and-do" section to help children learn about renewable energy, instructions for making their own water wheel, windmill and more. A special web-page can be found at www.irish-energy.ie and an energy exhibition, organised for Enfo in Dublin and due to run until October 20th, will have energy workshops for primary school pupils.
