An environmental winter conference, taking place in the Industry Centre, UCD, tomorrow, will look at what communities can do to ensure a sustainable future for urban environments. Organised by Schumacher Ireland in association with the Irish Doctors' Environmental Association and the Environmental Institute, UCD, the conference will provide a forum for promoting human scale solutions to social and environmental problems. Those the organisers would like to attend are "decision-makers" in the areas of health, industry, community, local government, environment and education. Speakers will include Frank McDonald, Environment Editor of this paper, Professor Risteard Mulcahy of the Irish Doctors' Environmental Association and Professor Frank Convery, Environmental Institute, UCD.
