Eight men arrested after a Garda swoop on a house in Limerick were remanded on bail until April at the Special Criminal Court in Dublin yesterday.
The men, charged with membership of the IRA, are: Mr Joseph Lynch (60), Ballincurra Weston, Limerick; Mr Patrick O'Shea (53), Sir Harry's Mall, Limerick; Mr Desmond Long (61), Shannon Banks, Limerick; Mr Robert McNamara (57), St Michael's Avenue, Tipperary; Mr Christopher Dunne (27), Rosbrien, Limerick; Mr Gerard Brommel (42), Woodview Park, Limerick; Mr Patrick Kennelly (57), Crusheen, Co Clare, and Mr Matt Conway (66), Kilkullen, Co Kildare.
Assistant State Solicitor Ms Kathleen Leader said Mr Long and Mr Lynch had been granted bail by the Special Criminal Court and the other six were granted bail by the High Court on Monday.
She said the Garda file on the case would not be ready until the end of March.
The court remanded them until April 9th.
