LONDON - An elderly man died yesterday in what has been described as a "small outbreak" of E.coli 0157 food poisoning in Aberdeenshire.
A spokeswoman for Grampian Health Board said the man was admitted to hospital last Friday.
A second resident at the private nursing home is being treated at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, and was last night in a "stable" condition. Two other residents have also tested positive, but have not required hospital attention.
