An elderly woman collapsed and died after a robbery on her home in south Belfast last night.

An elderly woman collapsed and died after a robbery on her home in south Belfast last night.

The house of 2-year-old Mary Thompson at Drumart Green on the Belvoir estate was forcibly entered by four youths just before 8 p.m. It is understood she was assaulted during the incident.

It is understood she managed to raise the alarm and contact her family before collapsing and dying.

Four boys - two 16-year-olds, a 15-year-old and a 14-year-old - volunteered themselves for questioning. All four were released and were not arrested or charged.
