A woman in her 70s was recovering in hospital yesterday from an attack which left her unconscious and bleeding from the throat. She was working in a field at her home on the Carrickmannon Road in Ballygowan, Co Down, when she was assaulted by a man.
When she awoke she found herself locked in a shed and bleeding. It took her 90 minutes to break free.
